Curator’s Note
This specimen is a paradigmatic example of the supplement genre’s pseudo-medical sales funnel. The three-act rhetorical structure presents diagnosis (clogged liver), revelation (castor oil applied in “this weird way”), and promised transformation (80% efficiency, jet-fuel fat burn). The copy systematically medicalizes normal aging processes—weight gain, digestive issues, low energy—attributing them to a singular, correctable “liver clog” for which the sponsor’s product is positioned as the solution. Of particular note is the repeated use of deictic language (“do THIS,” “this weird way”) that withholds the actual protocol until the viewer reaches the landing page, a classic curiosity-gap sales tactic.
