GOD'S CHILDREN ARE NOT FOR SALE

Friend,

My heart is heavy as I write this.

Two little sisters in Uganda, ages 13 and 9, were found shaking in silence behind a locked door.

Their eyes were hollow. Their voices had gone quiet long before rescuers arrived.

It started with something that could happen in almost any family.

An argument at home.
The girls ran away scared and alone.

Then a man appeared and offered to help. For a moment, it probably felt like an answer to prayer.

Instead, it was a trap.
He locked them in a room for days.
No way out - just fear and the crushing thought that no one was coming.

But someone did come.

A local worker heard suspicious noises and called the police.

Then a Sound of Freedom Foundation rescue partner was contacted to help.

If you’ve never heard of us before, the Sound of Freedom Foundation is a faith-driven movement.

We're dedicated to stopping the sale of God’s children and helping protect vulnerable children from trafficking and exploitation.

Give Now to Protect God’s Children

My name is Eduardo Verástegui.

After years of working alongside rescuers and hearing firsthand what trafficked children endure, our mission grew out of the Sound of Freedom film I produced.

Because supporters stepped forward, trained responders were ready when these girls needed help most.

Police broke down the door and the suspect was arrested.

And while officers secured the scene, a social worker knelt beside those frightened girls and whispered:

“You are safe now.”
“You are not alone.”

Friend, this is what your support makes possible.

Not just rescue, but healing, protection and care.

After children are rescued, the trauma does not disappear overnight.

The two sisters needed medical care, counseling, safe shelter and advocates to help them through police interviews and court proceedings.

They needed a place where they could simply be children again.

And thanks to compassionate people who refused to look away, they received it.

At the Sound of Freedom Foundation, we work to help stop trafficking through five areas of action:

  • Prevention to strengthen vulnerable families before traffickers can prey on children

  • Intervention that equips trusted rescue partners to save exploited children

  • Education that helpsparents and communities recognize trafficking warning signs

  • Information to raise awareness about the growing trafficking crisis

  • Influence to advance stronger protections for vulnerable children
Give Now to Protect God’s Children

Jesus said:

“Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)

We believe every child is made in the image of God.
Precious and worthy of protection.

God’s children are not for sale.

Today, I’m asking you not to look away.

Will you make your first gift to help protect vulnerable children and support rescue and aftercare efforts for survivors?

Friend, will you give $25, $50, $100, or whatever God places on your heart today?

Your gift can directly help provide

  • Emergency response support
  • Safe shelter and counseling
  • Medical care and trauma recovery
  • Family support and protection services
  • Education and prevention efforts for at-risk communities

The truth is hard to face, but together, we can help bring light into very dark places.

And we can remind frightened children they are not forgotten.

With gratitude and prayer,

Eduardo Verástegui

P.S. Most people never imagine trafficking could happen to children this young. But it does, every single day. Your gift today helps rescue, protect, and restore vulnerable children who desperately need someone to stand for them.

Curator’s Note

This specimen exemplifies the post-film fundraising apparatus developed around the 2023 theatrical release Sound of Freedom. The narrative deploys a tightly constructed three-act rescue story—vulnerability, predation, and deliverance—to transition the reader from emotional shock to a requested financial commitment. The Uganda-based case study serves as both paradigmatic example of the foundation’s claimed intervention model and emotional priming for the five-point action framework presented later. Of particular note is the seamless integration of biblical quotation, personal testimonial from producer Eduardo Verástegui, and tiered gift amounts, which together construct a moral economy in which the donor becomes an active participant in the kingdom-of-heaven imperative.
