Curator’s Note
This is the second specimen from the Rudy Defense Trust archive, following its inaugural April 2026 appeal framed as "Contacting you as a man without options." The current text maintains the committee’s established first-person narrative voice while adopting a markedly religious register: Easter reflection, a direct biblical quotation from Mark 8:36, and repeated invocations of legacy, soul, and divine legacy. The three-act structure of persecution, principled refusal to surrender, and final-battle appeal is retained, yet the fundraising ask is now explicitly tied to preventing precedent for "another innocent patriot." Of particular note is the donor-relief clause that absolves those unable to contribute, a classic rhetorical device that paradoxically increases compliance by reducing guilt.
